This self catering barn is a unique and special place to stay , set amidst tranquil countryside yet so close to Galway City . Experience the beauty and drama of connemara . A perfect location for fishing as we are only a short two minute drive to Lough Corrib. When staying in this galway holiday cottage you can enjoy a romantic walk through the grounds of the stunning Ashford castle in the picturesque village of cong . Take a look at the cottage where the quiet man was filmed.  We are a 15 min drive to Galway Airport, so you will arrive relaxed to

your holiday home in Galway.

Apple Blossom Barn is the ideal location to relax and unwind and enjoy walks in the countryside and is the ideal location to explore connemara, fish on Lough Corrib or to pop into Galway city a mere 15 mins drive away to do a spot of shopping.

Apple Blossom Barn has been recently rennovated and tradtionally restored to its former beauty and its interior given a shabby chic design by a interior designer. There is a strategically placed large window overlooking a valley and a holy well  with a beautiful view of the Connemara mountains on a clear day. There is accommodation for up to five people. The pretty barn conversion is decorated with lovely vintage quilts, laura Ashley oil cloth on the table, and lots of Cath kidston homeware accessories. The wood burning stove is so cosy as you relax with in the evening with scented candles. We have wifi if you need to keep in touch with friends at home or browse the internet in your self catering accommadation in Galway.

We also will give you complimentary wellies to take a stroll through the local countryside with our springer spaniel Jessie, st bernard ben and rosie our little jack Russell or you can feed our ducks and chickens and take some delicious eggs for your breakfast. Pixie and Willow our Kune Kune pigs love having their bellies

This is the ideal nostalgic stay with birdsong in the morning, sheep and horses grazing in the meadow below.

The barn over looks an ancient orchard, a dream of blossom in early summer and glorious in autumn when the branches are weighed down with rosie apples.

The barn is beside a traditional thatched cottage, pretty as a postcard. The barn is down a quiet lane in an acre of garden closed in by old stone walls and a rustic white painted picket fence. Apple blossom barn is straight off the page of a childhood fairy tale.
